Which skills and from where?

School is the place where our kids do the bulk of their learning – developing fundamental skills that can take them into higher education and into the workforce.

The learning of reading, mathematics, the sciences as well as a multitude of other subjects are no doubt essential to build our kids into tomorrows future leaders.

But, are all the skills needed being taught?

As it stands, it can be argued that our kids aren’t necessarily given all the knowledge necessary to make sound decisions when delving into real life situations. This is relevant particularly in regards to our kids financially assisting themselves and understanding how to responsibly manage money.

This current lapse in information provided can’t be blamed entirely on the education system in place and rather blame shouldn’t be placed at all as these are difficult topics and do not necessarily fit within the teaching curriculum.

However, given the ever-changing scope of the workforce and technology it is becoming more and more important to promote greater focus on teaching our kids the way money works at a young age. Although these concepts may be hard to comprehend at first, the knowledge and skills developed will undoubtedly assist our kids hugely in the long term.

Fortunately, Kebloom gives kids the opportunity to advance these exact skills, to develop business acumen, financial literacy skills and to gage how to save and invest money – ensuring our kids are well prepared to tackle the future of work.
