Letter to your future self.
Thinking back to when you were a young person, naïve and full of big ideas – would you say that many of your aspirations changed, possibly even, all of them?
Did you want to sail the seven seas, start up an infamous pastry shop or fly to the moon? We all had dreams that may have seemed slightly out of reach, yet easy to imagine through a 9 year old’s eyes.
So, what if you had written a letter to your infantile self – listing out the hopes and dreams young you would have hoped you would have achieved at the age you are now? How far off the mark do you imagine you would be?
Not to speak on behalf of all aspiring pastry chefs who did in fact, make it – but a large number of us are likely to see disparity between our childish goals and what our lives currently look like.
This is not a necessarily bad thing, but what if our youthful dreams could in fact be realised?
The digital age gives our kids so many more opportunities to THINK bigger and to resultantly DO bigger. Traditional is no longer relevant in that our kids are likely to have jobs that haven’t even been brainstormed yet!
In that, if you sit your kid down and ask them to write a letter to their future self, wouldn’t you do everything in your power to make their goals come to fruition – if in fact this is what opportunity was now permitting?
Register with Kebloom and help your kid kick-start their dreams – future them may soon be thanking you for doing just that.
