Interview with Hunter

Hunter was 5 years old when he began making soap for fun, from a tutorial he found online. Passionate about science and making cool things, Hunter decided to turn his soap-making hobby into a fully fledged business. Hunter sells soaps, bath bombs and bath salts in a variety of inventive scents and styles. The (now) 6 year old entrepreneur is excited about the future of his bubbly business.

Loving the fun style of his soaps, Kebloom contacted Hunter to find out more:

1) Please introduce yourself and your business.

Hi, my name is Hunter. I own Leather and Lather Shop. I am six and I live in Utah.

“I sell my soap at Renaissance fairs and fairs and someday I’m going to get a trailer to sell my soaps.”

2)   Tell us a little bit about Leather and Lather Shop.

I make bath bombs, bath salts and soap. I like kitties so I make a lot of kitty soaps and I really like donut soaps too, so I make those. I once made a Harry Potter collection and I painted it all.

“I have to keep everything organized so my boxes don’t get messed up. I also have to ship [my products] and take pictures and sell them.”

3) What passions inspired the creation of your business?

I really like science. I watched this soap video and you get to melt things and do all this scientific stuff. I really like to make soap.

4) What skills have you developed?

I have to keep everything organized so my boxes don’t get messed up. I also have to ship [my products] and take pictures and sell them.

5) What are your current business goals and what is your ultimate one?

I sell my soap at Renaissance fairs and fairs and someday I’m going to get a trailer to sell my soaps [whilst on the road].

6) What advice would you give to other young entrepreneurs/dreams?

You have to keep everything organized and you have to make it even if you don’t want to.

…and anything else you’d like to add!

You can find me on my Website and you can see my soaps and my videos on Instagram and Facebook.
